Pardon me bc im not in the mood for writing, but must to. kosa kata males ngedit. I do not feel want to translate anything. just wanna to get relaxed before midterm test, maybe?
I forgot my important schedule at my desk at class, so mom asked me if I want to pick it up or not. around 9 AM, I wear my school skirt and gym jacket and went to school. unfortunately, the main building were locked so I back home without anything.
actually I not straight going home after that. My host mom took me with her to shared Takao Brass Band concert invitation, to some sponsors. She just made it to 8 sponsors, while another parent made it more than 20?? shared it around the city? It just made me happy because it makes me know the city more better
In the afternoon, I almost rejected her invitation to go out bc I was too sleepy. I really grateful after it turns she took me to the store with amazing items, such as daily furnitures and clothes which too trivial so I don't even want to buy anything. The fact is, she want to buy something for 1 birthday of her friend's baby. And after she bought it, we went to the village near Minabe to send off the gift to the receiver's house about... 25 km or more from Tanabe??
And at night, it was a bit rainy but we must go to the city. actually there was Benkei Matsuri (Strong Man festival, the English translation) near Tanabe bay since at noon, and will be closed by fireworks for everyone. seems my rotary club was contribute to the event or something, so they held a small party in lawson parking lot! HAHAHA I ate many sushi, the mediocre one. like sushi with corn and mayonnaise or vegetables on it. and salmon sushi with avocado is the best!
bc I'm Indonesian. They still talked the same topic, Jakarta. At first, the people at the party thought I was not able to understand what they were talking about, and underestimates me. The old woman in front of me was SUPER shocked knowing the fact that I know what they're talking about, the uncle from the club who is closed to me innocently tell it to them. And yeah it's true. Since the second I landed here, I tried so hard not to speak English to improve my Japanese. Anyway, very useless to talk English with someone who can not. I only speak English with someone who understand, and ONLY in the most forced moment. So, yeah... I talked with many people that time. What school that I going in here, how long I have been here, is I uses chopsticks in my home country or not (bc I can uses it very well) and so on.
The old woman who sat next to me very interested in me. She asked if I got homesick or not, and my answer was definitely not! Or "are your parents okay with your exchange? is it possible they're worried at you right now?" what an interesting question... so I said that my parents are trust in me (and my mom not even cried for second since my departure until now! of course I'm not telling it to her lah)
She also asked "whether Indonesian children are separate beds/room with their parents? even a baby? or how old they will be separated?" so I said... yes, it depends on the family they want the baby sleep with them or not, and I think they will be separated when the child entering school? Actually it backs to the family again. And wow it was explain everything, because then she said that Japanese children will go separate beds when they entering junior high school!
I wear jarik at the party with just tied it around my waist, a modern style of jarik. Some people at the party were wonder how I could do that, so I taught them. The woman sat next to me also explain that her son will have a honeymoon in Bali. She will go ask him to buy her jarik, so she can do it at home. Cool isn't?
Last, the fireworks was extremely SUGOIIIII. I did recorded it with both cell phone and camera. The last fireworks was SUPER BIG AF the colour was gold, very big, and its explosion shape like a giant banyan tree, with you being underneath. I still heard some people talking about Jakarta at the moment but what ever.
